Drivers Strike!
I announce a drivers-strike. As long there is a rule, that there are (handicaped) drivers in the Tournament, for waht purpose ever, I am not willing to drive. - You can join me !
Either we repeat Team B vs Team C without handicaped drivers, or there will be no tournament.
We have other standards then this: https://youtu.be/dcu5sYxcEuo
Hello,
While the handicap is not explicitly stated in the rules (so your strike reason is technically invalid), §7 of the rules states:
This practice was used in previous tournaments as well to not make the incomplete team stronger.
Intentional play against own team, or not playing, is violating §9 of the rules. Calls to that are violations of the rules, according to §10. Please don't do that.
Handicap is not even explicitly mentioned in the rules (I ask you to read them before talking about them), so technically your strike reason is not even satisfied. However, §7 of the rules says
so the more complete team considered the replacing player to be too strong and asked for a handicap. That was used also in previous tournaments, and that's the reason handicap was applied.
Not playing intentionally, or playing against own them, violates §9 of the rules. Calling participants to violate rules is followed by Verbal Warning, according to §10 of the rules. I also think it's disrespectful enough towards your team members to do that.
Either the games will be played again, without handicap, or you can delete my good name out this players list, of this such called “tournament”!
BECAUSE THERE:
“If one team needs substitute players and another team doesn't need them, then in case of several possibilities to select substitutes for the game, the option preferred by a more complete team is chosen”
IS NOTHING WRITTEN ABOUT HANDICAP!
A possibility for a player to play without handicap, and a possibility for a player to play with handicap, are clearly different, in the way that the player can play less efficiently. You can try playing with a handicap yourself on a regular server and compare.
Please calm down. None of regular tournament players are going to play with a handicap. Threatening to withdraw is not going to change the rules (and never did in fact).
DELETE MY NAME!
Hello ColBrubaker, I was the substitute player that had to play handicapped. I did not complain, as it seemed a fair replacement for the missing player CodingJellyfish. As it was mentioned by some neutral spectators in the lobby as well, obviously a team should not get better if one of their regular players is missing. I think what was done was correct according to the rules and common sense. Since all of the involved players seemed to have agreed on it, I don't think it is a reason to leave the tournament; even more so, as you are not involved personally?
@Fabian: I was one of the neutral spectators. I watched specially you, with handicap, in the last two games. I am a player. And I disagree. There is nothing about handicap on the rules. So I made my decision.
@ColBrubaker: Hm, I think it's okay to have an opinion - but leaving the tournament over something like this? How does it bother you personally? Your team didn't get any advantage or disadvantage from me playing handicapped … Well, I've played many tournaments and there have been handicapped substitute players multiple times before, in my opinion handicap and different kart are both good ways to have substitute players who don't break the balance. Maybe you will re-think your decision, because the same way of interpreting the rules (“ the option preferred by a more complete team is chosen” –> the more complete team can decide for an option that includes some kind of handicap) was used before and nobody complained on it. I think if you can phrase your problem with this way of interpreting rules properly and understandably, then for the next tournament the organizer could also change the rules. That would be the better and more constructive solution than just leaving the tournament in my opinion. Anyway, just my two cents, you're free to do whatever you want and it's not my business. I just wanted to point out that I, the handicapped player, didn't have any problem with it.
The trouble when a mate skip a game is a trouble that affected many of us in the previous tournaments as well. The point is that the missing players must not penalize the opposing team who has all of its members present and ready to play the match.
Whenever a substitute is too strong, compared to the missing player, the other team can decide to set the handicap kart to the substitute. Sometimes to avoid this handicap, teams decide to play 3vs3 instead of 4vs4 (or 2vs2 instead of a 3vs3..). But on our first Team C match we would have liked to play all of us and so we did (it would have been sad for us to let one of our team C mates being out of the game).. we wanted to enjoy a 4vs4 match also to know eachother and see how team work would have worked.
Anyway, I don't like handicap too (we experienced it against us in some past tournaments), that's why for the next tournaments I'd like to have no unknown players/noob players participate, 'cause they often don't take their participation seriously and lack in sense of responsibility.
Rules are never perfect and are often updated in order to create better tournaments.. Day by day, tournament by tournament you'll learn how these tournaments work and you'll see it's not easy to create a tournament, so that's why all of us appreciate the effort of the organizers and we always try to give suggestions in a friendly way, or at least without getting too angry XD
See you!
So, you are complaining that teams acted accordingly to what they wanted for that match, aka, wanting to still play 4v4, requesting a substitute and the other team requesting handicap to balance teams according to the missing player's abilities. And somehow this consent is wrong to you? Is this a joke or something?
Since when does a participant have a do in how the tournament is played and how other participants should approach their misunderstandings? Incredible
Handicap has been apart of tournaments for a long time, there is literally no harm in having a sub play at the level of the substituted player.
The fact that CodingJellyfish could not play at all due to schedule issues is all on him, the registration was his responsibility, he should have known that.
Anyways, there will definitely not be any re-matches over this silly nonsense, afaik. The matches are complete, and the tournament moves on.
Good luck on the retirement, I guess.
Well, “nullum crimen, nulla poena sine lege”.
Writing new rules doesn't change anything. At the time the game was played the old rule said nothing about heavy cars and handicap. So it doesn't matter if Kimden changed the rules after he faked the match, that way:
Those options also include the substituting player having to enable the handicap, or having to play with a specific kart class. Referee might disagree with the decision of the majority team in case the player level becomes too different from the missing player's level.
This rules was added after the match! And changing rules after, is maybe the usual thing in Georgia, but not here in central Europe!
I am out. And I want my name deleted and not crossed!
Yet FabianF scored more goals than ColBrubaker.

And I don't want be with the georgian asshole in one team, who is organizer, referee and player and changer of the rules during the game, in one person. 🤮 I didn't know that Opensource_Gaming was Kimden in the first game. 💩
Actually he blocked my IP from downloading STK-assets. I had to use VPN. 🖕🏻
- Enjoy! (And btw. I am not hater Guest60)
Lmao I don't even own stk-assets to block you (ironically, I don't even know how to block a web page by IP) or whatever, nor I am Opensource_Gaming, nor I played in this tournament this month.
I think you need to mind your language - I think the page admin asks everyone to be nice in discussions (btw I'm not him, surprise!). No one ever did anything bad to you, on the contrary, you were helped much more than an average person asking for an advice.
Hello, brief update. I used the registration link to update my contact at slash (/) tournament.
